AutoGenomics appoints Dr. Laurence M. Demers and Eric S. Kentor to its Board of Directors
Carlsbad, CA. March 31, 2008 - AutoGenomics, a leader in developing automated molecular testing solutions, announced today that it has appointed Dr. Laurence M. Demers, DABCC, FACB and Eric S. Kentor to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Demers, a former President of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry and the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry holds the position of Distinguished Professor of Pathology and Medicine at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Demers has been instrumental in the development of several diagnostic assays in the area of endocrine function testing, infectious disease and biomarkers in oncology.
Mr. Kentor, a former Sr. Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of MiniMed Inc., has over 20 years experience advising and working for organizations in the healthcare sector. Prior to MiniMed, he was the Vice President of Legal Services for Health Net from 1987 until 1994. Mr. Kentor practiced with the national law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery, where he was elected partner in 1992.
